Our newest CD is done! Yeah!

Philip and I are very pleased with the outcome of our new project, and glad we took the extra time to get it polished up and shining! We’re inspired now to get our “Shadow of a Crow” back on a front burner! As I’ve said before, our production on “Shadow of a Crow” got bumped back in our efforts to provide a traditional Irish selection of music for the History Channel’s “Paddy Whacked” show, which was broadcast last St. Patty’s day. This however, pushed “Shadow of a Crow” back a-ways on our time line when, inspired by the outcome of our Paddy Whacked tracks – we felt compelled to finish - or rather, create “Mylodic Isle” – and the rest… well, is history!
This whole journey of music and learning has prompted me now to huge bouts of inspiration regarding perhaps... a Christmas collection – not the “Rudolph” stuff, but nice holiday tunes and songs that are more winter oriented… I
LOVE the winter! But gees! That’s after ‘Shadow’ is done! I have SO many plans! Ah!
We were so fortunate on this project, to have some wonderful musicians and friends join us on “Mylodic Isle”. We of course, worked with our beloved John Wilson and his ever so skilled '12 string guitar wizardry'… I swear, that man can play what I’m thinking sometimes! He jotted some of his tracks down - first go here at Full Moon Maggie studio, and just let the inspiration fly! He makes it so easy... It’s hard to believe sometimes, that Phil and I have been working with John for over 8 years now!
We also had the wonderful opportunity to work with a lovely and talented couple who have their own Irish cd out entitled “Ceol Mor” – Mairean & Tom Gittelman. They played on a few of our tracks, adding beautiful effects with the fiddle and bouzouki.
Also, our dear friend Tom White – both our treasured and valued engineer, as well as a long time friend, who did the final mixing and mastering of the project, in addition to contributing his divine musical talents on several tracks as well! He kindly guided us through some difficult sections and decisions within in the project, and his creative input was invaluable. But not only this, (yes there's more!) it was especially nice to renew the old friendship with Tom, and his wife Geri – whom we worked with on our first album. The distance that lay between our homes was a bit of a damper in keeping in touch on a regular basis – but we had the wonderful opportunity during this project, to experience their wonderful hospitality, and to spend some fun week ends, and many days with them as this project progressed. I think I can fairly say that this aspect was one of the best parts of this project!
We’ve been so fortunate in that our friends are all just awesome, GOOD people! What a wonderful experience this has been, and they have all made our musical journey so much more textured and interesting! I love you all!
So, to all who read my blathering on and on... in my excitement for this new thing... thank you. I do hope you enjoy the new cd! I’m hoping to have sound bytes on the website soon, for you to take a wee listen! But for now, have a wonderful Christmas season! Enjoy the moments! Take time to smell the coffee, and smile! Sincerely, Jennifer!
