The Quiet after the storm! The Green storm that is!

The welcome, quieter times now, that have finally settled down - like feathers drifting softly to the floor - after a fun, wild and somewhat rambunctious pillow fight... is here… It seems there’s not been a year as lively or as busy - as this one… and I’m grateful, yes, but the quiet now… is welcome!
We kicked the season off with a grand Ceili for the Pipes & Drums of the Atlantic Watch...

which was a grand evening of dancing, pipes, great food & music! (If I must say so myself! haha)

But this year... St. Patrick’s time - was a whirl of activity!

We played for our wonderful friends at the Belmar Fishing Club… and had a totally wonderful evening there… in front of their magnificent -George Washington era fireplace – resurrected from an old site out from Washington’s Crossing area... it's so beautiful!

We were kept busy with several private, fun filled parties that flew by on wings of music... before we knew it...

It was wonderful to be back playing for the wonderful folks at the Raritan River Yacht Club… a magnificent old, charming venue, with awesome views on a full-moon lit night… It was breath taking how the moon hung over the River... sparkling and dancing… which made it even more - an evening to remember, for there were so many couples who came up to dance the night away, waltzing to our tunes under the moonlight… and even kicking up their heels to jigs & reels… JM Rariton river
So all in all - my dear friends... The 2011 'Green Season' was wonderful! Thank you everyone... for making it so grand... And many deep thanks to the band - "the Boys" (& Lyn) who make it all possible... For each of you - are fine, incredible musicians and so often, you leave me amazed at the skills I see and hear... that flow with the melodies, and counter melodies and compliments we play for each other... Everyone's wonderful in their own right... but put us together... and it's just really incredible the magic that happens... You're all really awesome!!! And to me... this is what music is all about... finding joy with friends... and bringing it to others... with our tunes...
