This is the 4th year that Philip and I will be teaching down at the local music festival - Music by the Bay - in Waretown, NJ...
Mary & PolaPola
Pola has been organizing this festival, and with help from her dear friends... like Mary here... who runs Pinelands Folk Music & Basketry Center in Mt. Holly... they keep everything running smoothly!!!

and I'll be there offering a few Irish Fiddle workshops all through the morning and afternoon!
The week end starts off with a grand, Friday evening Faculty Concert - on Nov 5th - starting at 7:00 pm in the main lodge. Philip and I will be performing, along with
Atwater & Donnelly, Christie Burns and a few other of the faculty. Last year we had the honor of performing with Lorraine & Bennett Hammond, Maddie McNeil and Ken Kolodner, to name a few... it's always an awesome night, all by a crackling fire in the main lodge!

Saturday, the festivities REALLY get rolling, and there are awesome workshops running all day Saturday, Nov. 6th... starting at 8:30 am!!! There are workshops for mountain dulcimer, Irish AND Appalachian fiddle, hammered dulcimer, auto harp, guitar, Contra dancing, singing, wood working, basketry and nature walks - to name a few, as well as craft workshops and a nice assortment of vendors selling fine instruments, beautiful dulcimers, crafts, wood working etc...
dave
Dave Field usually comes in for the week end, and is there playing his tunes on his beautiful custom made dulcimers... I'm kinda partial to his dulcimers - as he made me my very first custom made, Brazillian Rosewood, 30" fret board, hour glass dulcimer... She's my baby... and I've loved her now for decades...
tess
I call her... "Tess"... and boy can she sing!
dwain
Dwain Wilder - an amazing and fine luthier from upper NY State who has Bear Meadow Dulcimers, is coming in with his fine instruments on display... and he's currently in the process of creating my new custom - Concert Grand, Hour glass dulcimer! He hand crafts each dulcimer he makes to match the musician's playing style, their singing voice and habits while playing... I've been waiting almost 4 years on this waiting list... and as i type this... my new dulcimer is being born! I can not WAIT till my new dulcimer's done!!!!

We will be performing a variety of songs, from the first cd - "At This Moment" as well as some lively tunes from our Irish album "Mylodic Isle" which is comprised of traditional Irish songs & tunes... and we'll be presenting a few new songs from our third album "Shadow of a Crow" which, much like the first album, is a compilation of all original songs & tunes... so hope to see ya there! I know I've got some fiddle students coming in for this festival and look forward to spending the day fiddlin' around and jamming with you all!
