Jennifer & Philip Mylod will be presenting a free performance, open to the public, as part of the Cultural Arts Concert Series presented by Brick Township - on Wednesday, September 17th, 2008 at 7:00 pm!

Come spend part of your evening enjoying some lovely original and traditional Irish songs, as well as some instrumentals performed on the uilleann pipes, fiddle, mountain dulcimer and guitar. You won’t be disappointed with Jennifer’s expressive, earthy style, and her rich and resonant voice. Jennifer & Philip’s music is a unique meld of Celtic, Folk and Contemporary influences, which creates a truly unique style music.

Directions:
From the North: GSP to exit 91. After toll, the exit ramp splits. Bear left toward Herbertsville. Loop around and be pointed North at the end of ramp. Proceed to traffic light. Turn right at light onto Burnt Tavern Rd. Cross GSParkway. Get in Right lane and go through 2 traffic lights.
Immediately after 2nd light take jug handle. You will be on Lanes Mill Road North. Stay on Lanes Mill Rd for approx. 1 mile. At light, bear right.
Continue to the end. Make a right onto Herbertsville Rd. Go ¼ mile and turn left at sign for Brick Cultural Arts Center (across from Maple Leaf Garden Apartment complex).

From the South: GSP south to exit 90. Exit ramp will put you on Chambers Bridge Rd. Stay in Right lane when you come off ramp. Go through Traffic light and take jug handle to make a U-turn.
Now turn left at the traffic light you just came through to head north on Chambers Bridge Rd.
Proceed north through another traffic light. At second traffic light (see bowling alley on corner) make a right onto Route 88. Proceed East for about a ½ mile and at the next light make a left onto Jack Martin Blvd. Go a couple hundred yards and make another left at the first traffic light onto Burrsville Rd.
Proceed north and at next traffic light (Burnt Tavern Rd) proceed straight. You are now on Lanes Mill Rd.
Go another ½ mile to light and bear right. Continue to the end. Make a right onto Herbertsville Rd. Go ¼ mile and turn left at sign for Brick Cultural Arts Center (across from Maple Leaf Garden Apartment complex).

From the West: Take Rt. 70 East into Brick Township. Take the jughandle for Herbertsville Rd. Go down Herbertsville Rd for about one mile and make a right. Turn Right at the sign for the Brick Cultural Arts Center.

Jennifer Mylod: Irish Fiddle, Mountain Dulcimer, 12 string Guitar and vocals: Jennifer has an expressive and vibrant musical style. Her selections of both the ancient Celtic songs and her own original lyrics, entwine you in a rich brocade of acoustic melodies. With a clear, resonant and sultry tone, Jennifer sings of love, life, nature, and family. Jennifer performs on the mountain dulcimer, 12 string guitar, and wild Irish fiddle. She is joined by her husband, Philip Mylod, who is the heartbeat of their music. His sensitive and compelling Bodhran (drum) rhythms, as well as the delightful presentation of his lively Uilleann pipes, Irish whistle & flute, bring light and joy to their music. Together they weave in and around their music to create a truly warm, rich and unique sound!
